AOL's landing in Poland was 'semi-successful' [ the British standards of politeness ]. You can see it here. It's been wildely discussed among Polish online pros and users as well. Pls find below some points by Tomasz Kępski:1) big American corporations may think that the Polish are barbarians and buy any glitzy beads they have for us 2) somebody underestimates Poles 3) we know that 'beta' stands for ' we tried to finish the work for time but we didn't manage but our top management already announced the launch so we are showing something that should have never been shown and beta should repent all our sins' 4) it was quite similar when eBay landed in Poland and their current position is still mediocre [ I would add: at least after 2 attempts to gain a beachhead ] I could not agree more with Tomek. I'll save some of my bitterish comments [ re. infamous F-16s or George W Bush ] ...
